This year, for the 30th anniversary of MAPIC, the Awards Ceremony is undergoing profound changes, and Jonathan Doughty is at the center of it, as the Master of Ceremony.
While China and the US have long been considered major destinations for European retailers looking for expansion, more recently brands hailing from North America and especially Asia have focused on Europe as they grow beyond their own markets.
From those who attended the very first event 30 years ago to those who have been Awards judges, on the advisory board, helped expand MAPIC to cover leisure, F&B and technology, spoken, moderated or simply been ever-present since first attending MAPIC.
